Cream Puffs
Bake at 425o for 30-35 min.
Then 15-20 min.
1/2 cup butter
1 cup boiling water
1 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs
Melt margarine in boiling water. Return to boil. Add flour and salt. Stir over medium heat
until mixture leaves sides of pan & forms a stiff ball. Blend in eggs one at a time
until mixture is smooth and glossy. Drop by tablespoons onto cookie sheet. Bake 30-35 min.
When done prick each puff with a knife or toothpick to release steam. Leave in oven 15-20 min. more. Drying is the key to successful cream puffs!
Can be made smaller - adjust baking
time 15-20 min. - dry 15 min.
Fillings: Tuna salad, Chicken salad,
Egg salad, Watkins Dessert Mixes, 1/2 cup creme de menthe mixed with 2 cups whipped cream. |
